My Story

The Hands Behind The Care

I’m Whitney Shepperd, an occupational therapist (OT) who decided to embark on the journey of establishing a private practice specializing in lymphatic and fascial bodywork.

My dream is to create a wellness center for the Northern Berkshire community, providing a space for people to come together, have the opportunity to connect with the natural world, and prioritize self-care.

My work is rooted in the belief that the body holds onto more than we realize.

Through a calm, supportive approach—I help you release those patterns, restore natural movement, and reconnect with a sense of ease.

Slow Down, Unwind, and Begin to Feel Like Yourself Again.

Whether you’re navigating chronic pain, recovering from surgery, or simply feeling the effects of long-term stress, each session is personalized to meet you where you are.

With over 15 years of experience as an occupational therapist in Western Massachusetts hospitals, I bring a strong clinical foundation into a more intentional, one-on-one healing space.

I specialize in gentle, hands-on therapies including myofascial release, lymphatic drainage, and craniosacral therapy—helping clients who feel tight, overwhelmed, or stuck in their bodies find lasting relief from pain, stress, and tension.

I work with individuals ages 12 and up. I also love working with infants and postpartum moms, and I welcome those clients into this space with special care and attention.

What Others Have Experienced

Whitney is excellent. She was attentive and listened to my lymph issues and carefully evaluated my situation. She then offered good advice on how to deal with my swelling in my legs. I am recovering from open heart surgery and am glad she is a part of my recovery team. I am looking forward to my next session with her.

Very professional. Absolutely would recommend it for anybody struggling with chronic back pain. I feel a huge reduction in my lumbar pain, such that at the end of the day I don’t need to take medicine for sleep. I normally don’t like therapy, but Whitney is the BOMB!

Whitney is a magical practitioner with profound and unique skills. After working with my son for two sessions doing MFR he started rolling to both sides. Jack was incredibly comfortable and happy to see her. As a mother and fellow OT I felt so amazed to see the transformation that I witnessed in her room.

The Story Behind IdyllWild…

At 17, I was driving along a winding road through the redwoods, windows down, music playing, completely present.

The air was earthy, the light filtered through the trees, and for a moment… everything felt simple, full, and alive.

I passed a sign that read Idyllwild, and that feeling stayed with me.

A quiet, perfect moment… the kind we’re always meant to return to.
